Dear Colleagues,

The University has developed an updated Export Control Compliance Program, which includes an entirely new, user-friendly website to facilitate compliance with the law in an efficient and effective manner. All WVU personnel are required to fully comply with U.S. export control laws and regulations. Adherence to the practices and procedures outlined in the Compliance Manual is an integral part of the compliance process. A copy of the Compliance Manual can be found at http://exportcontrol.wvu.edu.

If you are travelling internationally, hiring or collaborating with foreign nationals, hosting international visitors, or contracting with a foreign person or entity, please visit the new website or contact the Export Control Office at 3-3084 to find out how these regulations and WVU’s policies and procedures apply to you and your work.

The Export Control Office is ready and willing to help ensure that all University activities are in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. I encourage you all to browse the website at your convenience.

Regards,
Gary J. Morris, Ph.D.
Export Control Officer, ITAR/EAR ECoP®
