WVU users should NOT download Windows 10 for personal or work machines

Although Windows 10 is now commercially available, WVU faculty, staff and students should NOT download the operating system onto their machines until further notice from Information Technology Services.

Windows 10 is NOT supported by our virus protection product, Kaspersky Antivirus. Downloading Windows 10 on your personal machine or onto a University-owned machine without approval from your IT support team could inadvertently create a security risk for your machine and for our networks.

Browser changes in Windows 10 also could contribute to compatibility problems with various WVU applications, such as MyAccess, eCampus and other critical tools.
