Morgantown, W.Va. — The Shale Gas Network Forum will highlight early results from the Marcellus Shale Energy and Environment Laboratory at 3 p.m. Nov. 9 at the Erickson Alumni Center. MSEEL, a fully-instrumented commercial well drilled in Westover a year ago, offers researchers a first-of-a-kind glimpse into the inner workings of unconventional natural gas production. Petroleum Engineering Prof. Kashy Aminian, WVWRI Director Paul Ziemkiewicz, and Geology Associate Professor Amy Weislogel will hold a 60-minute panel presentation, followed by refreshments, posters by other researchers and informal networking about the latest energy advances.
