Morgantown, W.Va. — Environmental Health and Safety has posted a new compressed gas cylinder safety program. The program provides safe guidance and mandatory information on methods for care, use, and storage of compressed gases to assure safety of WVU faculty, staff, students and the public. The program is based on key parts of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), Compressed Gas Association and general safe work practices. If you presently use compressed gas guidance documents in your work areas, please assure they comply with this WVU this program. Training is planned for September 2016. Visit the link above.
