Morgantown, W.Va. – Representatives from the National Alternative Fuels Training Consortium (NAFTC) will be on hand at the Fire Department Instructors Conference (Booth 9418) to showcase the NAFTC’s Alternative Fuel Vehicle First Responder Safety Training.
The event takes place at the Indiana Convention Center and the Lucas Oil Stadium, Indianapolis, Ind. on April 20-25.
The scene of a vehicle accident is extremely chaotic and forces first responders to work within the constraints of a critical time frame to ensure their safety and the safety of accident vehicle occupants, leaving no time to learn new techniques on site. When an accident involves an alternative fuel vehicle (AFV) first responders must achieve balance between speed and caution because many new potential hazards are present.
The NAFTC’s Alternative Fuel Vehicle First Responder Safety Training equips first responders with the knowledge they need to confront a growing number of automotive accidents involving AFVs, allowing them to respond safely and confidently.
