5th TransTech slider 2Morgantown, W.Va. — The 2016 TransTech Energy (TTE) Business Development Conference is accepting applications from entrepreneurs, budding CEOs, and innovators who may be interested in making a pitch at the 5th TTE Conference scheduled for Oct 26-27, at the Marriott Waterfront Place Hotel in Morgantown, W.Va.

Interested innovators should go to the TTE website, click on Apply to Make a Pitch, carefully read the “Application Guidelines,” “Suggestions and Helpful Hints,” and then submit a pitch application. Applications are due Friday, September 2, 2016.

As with the four previous TTE conferences, there will be mentoring sessions prior to the conference, cash prizes for outstanding pitches, financial awards for technical assistance, in-kind technical assistance awards, and numerous opportunities for one-on-one discussions with investors and potential strategic partners during the conference.

New for TTE 2016 will be an expanded partnership with the U.S. DOE’s National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL). Start-up companies, innovators, and researchers will learn about new programs and opportunities for engaging with NETL – and through NETL, with other federal agencies such as NASA, USDA, and the Department of Interior.

“Our highest priority right now is to let the region’s best entrepreneurs know the door is open for applications to pitch at TTE 2016 – and it starts with a visit to the conference website,” said Carl Irwin, TTE director.  For information and the pitch application go to:
